Lena B. Williams, age 86 of Fairborn, died May 14, 2018 at Kettering Medical Center after a brief illness. She had been a Fairborn resident for 71 years. Preceding her in death was her husband of 62 years, Junior Williams; son, Jerry B. Williams; parents, Aurelia and Ben Combs; three brothers; and one nephew. Surviving are her son, Gene Edward Williams and wife Polly of Newport Richey, Florida; two granddaughters, Keli Taylor Slattery and husband Chris of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Summer Ann Elena Williams of Tallahassee, Florida; sister, Doris Carter of Cocoa, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and dear friend Charlotte Salyers. She was employed by AMF in Dayton for 23 years; and attended Maple Avenue Church of God . Lena enjoyed cooking, decorating and maintaining her home, flower and vegetable gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed many trips to Florida through the years visiting with her family. A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 22, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, Pastor Ancil Carter officiating.
