Larry Lee Williams, age 79 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday September 10, 2023 at the Soin Medical Center. He was born August 7, 1944 in Madison, Indiana, the son of the late Cecil Harrison and Mildred Virginia (Schwab) Williams.
Larry graduated from Fairborn High School, Class of 1961, and followed with employment as a tool and die maker, retiring from Sherman Tool. Following retirement, he was employed by the Fairborn City Schools as a bus aide for close to 10 years.
Larry enjoyed serving his community in many capacities over the years, as a scout master and a commissioner for the Tecumseh Council of the BSA and as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church where he had previously served as a lector and as a teacher with the CCD program.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joyce Ann Williams; two sons, Larry (Cathy) Williams of Fairborn, Lawren Williams (Diana Marshall) of Fairborn; three grandchildren, Alexis, Mariana, Lawren Diego; a great-grandson, Gabriel; as well as other extended family and friends.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Monday September 18, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
