Larry E. Laymon

Larry E. Laymon, age 61 of Fairborn, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 23, 2021.

He was born in Dayton, the son of the late Eddie G. and Nancy A. (Phillips) Laymon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Laymon in February 2018, and Joyce Faye in August 2016. He is survived by one sibling, Vickie Harris; two nephews, Greg Harris, and Dustin Harris (wife Sabrina Pryor); and a host of relatives and dear friends.

Larry was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Fairborn his entire life. He retired in 2020 from Wright Patterson Air Force Base civil service where he was employed for 10 years after working for Elder Beerman in Fairborn for 20 years.

Larry loved Bluegrass music as well as Gospel music and created personal friendships thru the years with numerous professional artists and their families. He looked forward to attending Bluegrass Festivals every year with his cousins. He was a huge fan of Ohio State football and enjoyed attending games and watching with friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday December 2, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the First Baptist Church of Fairborn, 1167 Highview Drive, Steve Stiglich officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in memory of Larry be made to Mayo Clinic Pancreatic Cancer Research, a cause very important to him and his family.
