Larry A. Haas, 76, of Clayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2022 at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, OH surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Redwine, KY to the late Robert O. Haas and Wilma Jean (Adkins) Haas. He was a 1966 graduate of Fairborn High School. Larry was a Vietnam Veteran, serving his country from 1966 to 1986 in the United States Air Force. In those 20 years, he was deployed and lived many places worldwide. After retiring from the US Air Force, Larry continued his career in Civil Service at Wright-Patterson AFB and Randolph AFB. He was a member of the American Legion Post 707 in Englewood, OH.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Robert O. Haas and his younger brother, Edward Haas. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marcia J. Haas; his son, Braydon (Amanda) Haas; 2 grandchildren, Hunter A. Haas, and John A. Haas; brother Robert E. (Nancy) Haas; and sisters Deborah L. Rieselman and Cindy (Tom) Buckmaster.
Marcia would like to extend a special thank you to family members Judy and Amy Ward, Tom and Cindy Buckmaster, Debbie Rieselman, Ted and Randy Dunevant, Brandy Burchett, and Shannon Gill for their continued support during Larry’s illness.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
