Kermit Ray Collinsworth, age 82 of Enon passed away Monday December 11, 2023. He was born February 22, 1941 in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Hager and Nancy (Combs) Collinsworth. Kermit was a member of the Amvets Post 37, Enon and the Ol Fashun Rod and Gun Club, Fairborn. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Clinton Shepherd, Jimmy, Freddie, Jerry, and Johnny Collinsworth. Kermit is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Fran; daughter, Angela Rae (Matt) Campbell of Debary, FL; two grandchildren, Lauren Campbell, Colin Campbell; two brothers, Ervin (Janice) Collinsworth of Bradenton, FL, Mike (Carol) Collinsworth of Beavercreek, OH; sisters-in-law; Betty Letuli of Monroe, OH; Freida (David) Bolin of Lakeview, OH; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to thank Daypring Nursing Home and Ohio Valley Hospice for caring for Kermit. A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 20, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral will be held on Thursday December 21, 2023 at 1:00 P.M., Pastor Mark Decker officiating. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society online at Societdementiasociety.org or Ohio Valley Hospice.
