Joyce L. Fischer

Joyce L. Fischer, age 58 of Fairborn passed away September 9, 2023.  She was born December 30, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Caroline (Lewis) Wapplehurst.  Joyce grew up going to Grand Lake St. Mary’s and became really good at fishing.  She worked at WPAFB in civil service for over 24 years.  She cherished the time she got to spend with her grandchildren.  She was creative, enjoyed crafting; and telling jokes to make people laugh.  She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wapplehurst; and niece, Elaine Boyle.  Joyce is survived by five children, Jessica (David) Darby, Erin Schumacher, Megan (Joshua) Click, Ashton Fischer, Isabelle Fischer; mother, Caroline Wapplehurst; grandchildren, Henry and Grace Click, Hunter and Preston Darby; sisters, Teresa Hammond, Rita (Joey) Schweitzer; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
