Jennifer Doriene Whited, age 42 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday December 10, 2023 at the Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 22, 1981 in Kettering, the daughter of Jeffrey L. and Cheryl A. (Boone) Whited.
Jennifer was a 1999 graduate of Fairborn High School, earned her Bachelor’s degree in June 2004 and was awarded her Master’s degree in 2010 from Wright State University. She was currently in her 20th year teaching kindergarten for the Fairborn City Schools and she loved all of her current and past kiddos. She was active within the Fairborn school system, serving on the building leadership team, district leadership team, academic council, literacy team, kindergarten grade level coordinator, and the curriculum adoption team.
In her leisure time, Jennifer loved to travel with the beach her favorite destination. She loved all of her family, especially being an aunt to her niece and two nephews. She was an avid reader and had an unmistakable laugh that will be remembered by many.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Edgar and Dovie Whited; and maternal grandparents, Clyde and Coriene Parson. Survivors include her parents of Fairborn; two brothers, Jason (Amy) Whited of Centerville, Jared Whited (Olivia Glander) of Fairborn; her niece and two nephews who were her pride and joy, Kenzie, Jax, and Gunner; her boyfriend, Rob Miller; aunts and uncles, Ronny Boone, Wanda Darbyshire, Donny and Anne-Marie Boone, Edgar Glen (Mary) Whited, Jerry (Shelda)Whited, Terry Whited; as well as numerous other extended family members and many friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday December 15, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday December 16, 2023 at 10:30 A.M., Pastor Ken Majors officiating. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jennifer Whited Literacy Project, c/o Fairborn City Schools.
