Jennie Tomeo

Tomeo, Jennie, aka Doll, 87, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed on November 1, 2016. She was born February 4, 1930, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph D’Errico & Maria Straw D’Errico. She attended and graduated from New Castle High School. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother, and a faithful servant of Christ. Her occupations included picking beans for 25 cents a basket, waitress to nurses at New Castle Hospital, and seamstress. She was also church historian and secretary. A favorite hobby was making crafts and putting the finishing touches on wood projects Nick made. She was preceded in death by her husband Nick Tomeo and by her twin John and other brothers Joseph, Michael, twins Paul & Patsy, and Charles, and sisters Rachel Heasley, Helen Ross, Stella Sankey, and Christine Pascoe, and is survived by her sister Lucy Musolino and brother Louis D’Errico. She is survived two sons and their wives, Nicholas & Janice Tomeo and William & Sandra Tomeo, and her daughter and her husband Janet & Dale Robinson. Jennie lived most of her last seven years in her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Casstown, Ohio, until declining health required first assisted living and then health home care. Jennie is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses Christopher & Stephanie Tomeo, Kevin & Heather Tomeo, Eric & Tiffany Tomeo, Jenna and Chase Diller, Scott Robinson, and Alyssa and Zachariah Murphy, as well as nine greatgrandchildren.  The family will receive friends on Saturday November 11, 2017, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held immediately following at 10:30 a.m. with minister Randy Warner officiating. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, Ohio.
