Jason Michael Whitt

Jason Michael Whitt, age 17 of Fairborn, performed his last heroic act here on Earth to assist his younger brother on Sunday February 9, 2020 before he passed away.  He was born June 6, 2002 in Xenia, the son of Jesse B. and Jill M. (Smith) Whitt.  Jason was currently a senior at Fairborn Digital Academy and was employed as a tire tech at Jamie’s Tire in Beavercreek.  He had a big heart and loved to volunteer in the community, was very outgoing, and would do anything for anybody.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing; and he was a hero to all three of his brothers and friends.  Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Papaw Kevin Smith; and uncles, Mark and Russell Toll.  Survivors include his mother, Jill Smith Whitt of Fairborn; his father, Jesse Whitt (Amy Williams) of New Carlisle; three brothers, Jacob Whitt, Jonathon Whitt, Leo Williams; maternal grandmother, Oma Teresa Smith and Opa Nick Malone; paternal grandmother, Regina Shearer; paternal grandfather, Marc (Kathy) Whitt, Sr.; paternal great-grandmother, Wanda Shearer; his loving girlfriend, Aulivia “Livvy” Dexter; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family.  Also surviving are many dear friends who were considered family.  A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday February 29, 2020 from 2-4 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  A memorial service will begin at 4:00 P.M.  Jason’s family requests that those attending please wear hoodies, Carhartt’s, and jeans.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jason Whitt Charitable Fund at any Wright-Patt Credit Union location.
