Janet Haruko Wells

Janet H. Wells, age 87, of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021; the daughter of the late Saburo and Michiko Nomura. She was born on July 14, 1933 in Gifu, Japan. Along with her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Kenneth E. Wells. Janet is survived by three sons, Ed (Karen) Wells of Fairborn, James (Cora) Wells of Beavercreek, and Eric (Sarah) Wells of Beavercreek, OH; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Jack) Michiko Dixon, Kenneth (Rachael) Edwin Wells, Anthony James Wells, Christina Kaeko Wells, Aidan Saburo Wells, Kira Emiko Wells; and four great-grandchildren, Hannah Marie Wells, Emma Haruko Wells, Jacob Kenneth Wells, and Edie Kaeko Dixon; and numerous extended family members. Janet was a long-time member of the Abiding Christ Lutheran Church. She had a passion for cooking traditional Japanese dishes and loved to host cooking classes and cook for her family and friends. Janet was a kind and selfless woman who put other’s needs before her own, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 5:30 until 7:30 PM in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Abiding Christ Lutheran Church, 326 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Pastors Craig Fourman and June Fryman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Abiding Christ Lutheran Church.
