James Michael Slone

James Michael Slone age 64 of Fairborn, passed away August 15, 2018.  He was born May 11, 1954 in Leburn, Kentucky.  Mike enjoyed boating at Lake Cumberland, was an avid University of Kentucky basketball and Bengals fan; and watching the Andy Griffith show.  He was preceded in death by his step-father, Tommy Minniard; and brother, Keith Slone.  Mike is survived by two sons, Justin (Rebecca) Slone, Christopher (Brande) Slone; three grandchildren, Julia, Cael, Owen; mother, Herma Slone; two brothers, Bobby (Kathy) Slone, Jimmy Slone; three sisters, Vickie (Stanley) Dick, Sue Slone, Tammy (Jeff) Watkins; loving companion Sandra Hicks; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 18, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s association.
