James Ryan Jessee

James Ryan Jessee, age 29 of Fairborn, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 6, 2023. James was born June 24, 1993, in Dayton, OH, the son of Rick and Trayc (Gullett) Jessee.

James was a loved son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend to many. He was a graduate of Fairborn High School, Class of 2011. Baseball was James’s passion and first love. While playing for the FHS varsity baseball team his ambitious and aggressive performance was distinguished—not to mention he was a proud lefty. James held a 6-year strikeout record which rivaled near major league talent. This love of baseball did not limit him to other sports. Competitive by nature, James also enjoyed football, basketball, and corn-hole. Employed with Steam Brite LLC in Fairborn, an essential member of their team. James’s life will be remembered not only by his community of friends, but most importantly his family. He cherished spending time with his nieces and nephew. James never wasted an opportunity to show his commitment to them and always strove to be an exemplary uncle.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Randall and Arlene Brown, maternal grandfather; James Gullett, cousins; Amanda Barnette, and Elmer George. He is survived by his parents; Rick and Trayc Jessee, three brothers; Rick (Lily), Jacob (Sarah), Tommy (Maggie), grandmother; Lou “Bamboo” Gullett, beloved nephew and “best friend” ; Benjamin, adored nieces; Paisley, Parker, Becca, as well as extended family and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Monday, June 12, 2023, from 12:30 P.M. – 1:30 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E.
