James Allen Coleman, Sr.

James Allen Coleman, Sr., age 59 of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday December 3, 2024 at his residence.  He was born October 3, 1965 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of James W. and Sarah K. (Ryan) Coleman.

James was a devoted employee of over 40 years at Bob Evans Restaurant.  His family was most important to him, and he will be remembered as a devoted husband, and a loving dad, papaw, and brother.  He loved taking his grandkids to the water park and out and about on his hunt for collectibles.  He will be missed by all of those that knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Luke and Roy Lee Coleman; and a brother-in-law, Orange Dyess.  Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Barbara; four children, Brent Joshua McGee (Christina), Jaqueline Sue Coleman, James Allen Coleman, Jr., William Robert Coleman (Crystal); six grandchildren, Aliyah, Chloe, Samantha, Jacob, Kevin, Sarah; a sister, Sandra Kay Dyess; brother, Robert William (Billie Jo) Coleman; sister-in-law, Terry Coleman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 14, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Buck Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
