Harry E. Fields, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2018. He was born March 26, 1946 in Jeremiah, KY, the son of the late Harry Sr., and Ethel (Adams) Fields. He served his country in the U.S. Army and followed with employment at Chrysler, retiring after 25 years. Harry enjoyed fishing and gambling; animals, especially calico cats; and spending time with family. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Scott; 5 brothers, Vernon, Sherman, Robert, Everett, Harold, and a sister, Della. He is survived by a son, Jeffrey (Jessica) Fields; forever partner, Jane Finkey; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Loretta Adams, Debbie Schwenk ; 3 brothers, Johnny, Freddy and Leonard; as well as extended family. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow at Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
