Harold A. Clifton

Harold A. Clifton, age 71 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017.  He was born November 13, 1946 in Webster County, West Virginia the son of the late Hayward and Thelma (Perrine) Clifton.  He was a 1964 graduate of Fairborn High School and was employed as a supervisor at General Motors, retiring after 35 years of service.  Harold was a true fan of car races and every racing season he could be found at Kil-Kare, Eldora, Shady Bowl, and Winchester Speedways.  If he wasn’t at a car race Harold could be found riding around town on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Joshua A. Clifton; his brother, Paul B. Clifton; and his niece, Donna A. Clifton.  Harold is survived by his wife of 40 years Deborah (Moore) Clifton; his daughter Danielle (Noah) Calderon; his 2 brothers, Darrell Clifton of Kettering, OH and Larry Clifton of New Carlisle, OH; three sisters Joann Johnson of West Alexandria, OH, Barbara Wilson of Smithville, TN, and Janet Reynolds of Fairborn, OH; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.  A memorial service will be held on Monday November 27, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association -or- the Greater Dayton Humane Society.
