Hans J. Schlotterer, age 94 of Fremont, Ohio passed away peacefully May 11, 2021. He was born May 19, 1926 in Lauterbach, Germany, the son of the late Jorg and Hedwig (Jagenberg) Schlotterer. Hans was retired from Chrysler Corporation as a Product Development specialist, retiring after over 20 years of service. Hans was a gentleman with many talents and interests. He was a member of the PRA, Popular Rotorcraft Association; and was particularly fond of aircraft, including the gyrocopter he built and learned to pilot at age 75; riding his motorcycle; yachting on Lake Erie; SCUBA diving in Florida; reading Clive Cussler novels; and road trips to the southwest. Hans is survived by three children, Tonya (Rick) Pamatian, John (Cheryl) Schlotterer, Josephine (Andy) Wynn; eight grandchildren, Nina (JD) Reardon, Stephanie (Ed) Junker, Christina (Johnny) Door, Danica Schlotterer, Jami Schlotterer, Isaiah Wynn, Claire Wynn, Emil Wynn; seven great grandchildren, Chaos, Wilder, Eden, Erynn, Shaun, Zander, Maddie; as well as ex-wife Carol Finkes and extended family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home.
