Guy Vincent Wetsig

August 26, 1957 — April 6, 2024

Guy Vincent Wetsig, AKA Pizza Guy, age 66 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday April 6, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born August 26, 1957 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the son of Frank and Bernice (Schack) Wetsig.

Guy was employed as a route salesman / operator for the Kraft / Nestle companies in the greater Dayton area for over 35 years of service.  Guy valued the many friendships that were made on his routes and enjoyed laughing and reminiscing any chance he got.  After he retired, he drove a school bus with Fairborn City Schools, and again, liked visiting with the kids and fellow bus drivers.

Guy was an avid sports fan, especially all of the New York teams, and he enjoyed attending many live sporting events.  He also enjoyed hosting poker night with friends, specifically Texas Hold ‘Em.  Not one to sit still for long, one of his favorite hobbies was hunting for deer sheds and he would walk for miles and miles looking.  Guy’s legacy will include that he was a big kid at heart, loved to laugh, and lived life to the fullest.

In addition to his father Frank Wetsig, he was preceded in death by his son, Tyler in 2017.  Guy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jackie; three sons, Alan Wetsig of Fairborn, Jeremy Wetsig of Beavercreek, Sean (Casey) Wetsig of Kettering; his mother, Bernice; six grandchildren, Dillon, Liv, Bristol, Blaze, Brandon, Taylor; two brothers, Jon (Judy) Wetsig of New York, Greg (Debbie) Wetsig of Kettering; two sisters, Sherry (Phillip) Turck, Donna (Dan) Barnhart, both of New York; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A service to celebrate Guy’s life will be held on Saturday April 13, 2024 at 4:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Rev. Steve Stiglich officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service.  If desired memorial contributions may be made to SICSA in memory of Guy.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.BeltonStroup.com.
