Gregory Back

Gregory L. Back, age 66 of Bardstown, Kentucky, formerly of Fairborn, Ohio passed away August 27, 2022.  He was born April 30, 1956 in Dayton, the son of the late Garner and Yvonne “Bonnie” (Fassold) Back.  Greg was currently employed with Ashbaugh Roby Trucking as  driver.  He enjoyed audio books, bird watching, and spending time at the beach with family.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanine Markwell.  He is survived by his wife, Marcia; four sons, Shawn (Loretta) Back, Jason Back, Jeremy (Shalen) Back, Sam (Lesley) Clendening; two daughters, Courtney Back, Melissa (Mike) Penney; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four siblings, Jeffrey (Sandy) Back, Colleen Savakinas, Cindy (Doug) Vanover, Kevin (Bess) Back; special friends, Tim and Paula Roby; as well as extended family.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 3, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Marshall Butcher officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Desired memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Greg.
