Gloria Jean Mellon

Gloria Jean Mellon, age 64 of Fairborn passed away November 1, 2018.  She was born April 12, 1954 in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Carless and Dorothy (Combs) Eldridge.  Gloria was currently employed at the Greene County Career Center as a teacher’s aide.  She was a longtime member of Faith Hill Church of God; enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; going to her cabin in Hocking Hills; and traveling.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip; and infant son, Phillip Dewayne Mellon, Jr.  Gloria is survived by a son, Bryan (Jennifer) Mellon; daughter, Carri (Shane) Davis; three wonderful grandchildren, LCPL Andrew Mellon; Vivianne Mellon, Phillip Mellon; sister, Patricia (Roger) Pike; as well as nieces, nephews; extended family and very special friends.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 6, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Faith Hill Church of God, 35 Vanderbilt Dr, Fairborn, Pastor Steve Wagoner officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Burial will follow at the Mount Zion Shoup Cemetery, Beavercreek.  Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home.
