Glenn E. "James" Back

Glenn E. “James” Back, age 79 of Brownsville, TX, passed away February 13, 2019.  He was born July 16, 1939 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the son of the late James and Goldie (Rowe) Back.  Glenn attended the Rio Honde Baptist Church; enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and the outdoors.  Driving semi trucks was a big part of his life for many years.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Back; two brothers-in-law, Ronnie Helton and Johnny Mellon.  Glenn is survived by two children, Steven (Connie) Back, Tammy (Roger) Dyer; five grandchildren, Scott (Elizabeth) Back, Steven Back, Jr., Amanda Williams (Matt Davis), Mellisa Williams (Scott Hensley), David Williams (Amy Hobbs); thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (Connie) Back, Rick (Yvonne) Clemons; two sisters, Jean Helton, Phyllis Mellon; special friends, Charley and Tracy; beloved dog, Bonnie.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday February 20, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday February 21, 2019 at 1:00 PM, Pastor Calvin Evans officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
