Glen Kegley, age 75 of Fairborn, passed away on Monday January 24, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 25, 1946 in West Liberty, KY, the son of the late Thurman and Mauverine (Whitt) Kegley.
Glen was the founder of Glen Kegley and Son Homes, one of the most respected home building companies in the region for close to 50 years. Not one to sit still for long, he also owned Kegley’s Carpet Town and Wright-Patt Auto Sales, both in Fairborn. Glen was a talented musician and enjoyed playing his favorite instrument, the harmonica, and the guitar.
Glen loved his Lord and Savior, the outdoors, spending time with his family, especially his grandkids; and he was a loving husband to the love of his life, his wife of 55 years, Ardena.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Teague; and a brother, Leroy Kegley. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Ardena; two children, Kimberly (Matthew) Klohe of Piqua; David (Faith) Kegley of Fairborn; five grandchildren, Jacob Hill, Skylar Hill, Adrianna Kegley, Mariah Kegley, Kaylee Kegley; two great grandsons, Gabriel, Matthew; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 1, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Rev. Dwayne Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
