Geraldine E. Moore

Geraldine E. Moore, age 85 of Xenia, passed away Saturday November 26, 2022. She was born May 5, 1937, in Elliott Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late James and Jewell (Sparks) Evans, and stepmother, Geneva (Callahan) Evans. Geraldine was a 75-year member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Church, active in the women's group and served as its president for a time. Geraldine drove a bus for special needs children and adults for 27 years, she spent many hours volunteering on field trips as she loved her job. She was an avid reader and enjoyed many authors most recently Lee Child and the Jack Reacher series. She was not one to shy away from a political discussion, her generosity and love for her maternal family and church family will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J Moore; granddaughter, Stacy Adamson; daughter-in-law, Mary Moore; brother-in-law, Ken Moore. Geraldine is survived by her five children, Michael (Denise) Moore, Kevin (Cindy) Moore, Jeffrey Moore, Mark Moore, Joyce (Dennis) Feehan; brother, Charles Evans; sister, Eloise Moore; ten grandchildren, John, Jennifer, Kelsey, Kevin (Brandon), James, Erin, Jessica, Rusty, Rachel, Jacob; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday December 2, 2022, at 12:00 noon at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Church, 491 W. Hyde Rd., Yellow Springs, Pastor Bryan Graham officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.

Geraldine requested in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research, Smile Train, or Pleasant Grove Missionary Church.
