Geraldine Evans

Geraldine Evans, age 81 of Fairborn, went home to be with the Lord on Monday August 26, 2024 at the Miami Valley Hospital.  She was born May 8, 1943 in Wayne Co., WV, the daughter of the late Henry and Lucille (Copley) Carroll.  Geraldine was a longtime member of the Faith Hill Church of God and the OES Aero Chapter #536 in Fairborn.  Her love for her family and her church were most important to her and she also enjoyed both flower and vegetable gardening.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, R.G. and Polly Carroll; and a daughter, Lora Lea Boldman.  Survivors include her husband of 63 ½ years, Bob; two children, Bobby Jr. (Penny) Evans of Fairborn, Pollyanna (Rob) Fraver of Fairborn; three grandchildren, Travis (Cassandra) Evans of West Liberty, KY, Nicolas Fraver of Fairborn, Samantha Lee Fraver of Fairborn; three great-grandchildren, Levi, Anna, Hyde; as well as extended family and many friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday August 30, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Faith Hill Church of God, 35 Vanderbilt Dr., Fairborn, Pastor Steve Wagoner officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation -or- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital -or- Shriner’s Children’s Hospital -or- a charity of the donor’s choice.
