Gerald G. “Jerry” Allen, age 64 of Fairborn, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the comfort of his home. He was born May 8, 1960, in Jamestown, OH, the son of the late Sonja Lou (Bell) and Joseph Wade Allen Jr.
Jerry served his country honorably in the U.S. Army as a heavy artillery specialist, achieving the rank of Sergeant, including a tour in both the Gulf War and Desert Storm. In life, Jerry enjoyed watching football, specifically rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. He looked forward to the company of family and close friends. In addition, he was a passionate motorcycle enthusiast and a proud owner of a Harley Davidson. Furthermore, Jerry found immense pleasure in the outdoors showcased by his devotion to hunting and fishing.
Jerry will be profoundly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memories will live on in the hearts of family and dear friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a daughter, Breanna Boccara; two grandchildren, Davi'ohn and Alby; six siblings, Joseph Allen III, April (Marcus) Sloan, Mindy Allen, Angela Pridemore, Stephen W. (Karen) Allen, Eric Allen, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, two dear life-long friends, Jerome Crosswhite and David Wilson, as well as a crew of homeboys.
A memorial gathering will be held from 12:00 P.M., to 2:00 P.M., at the St. Augustine Catholic Church Annex on March 22, 2025, 44 E. Washington Street, Jamestown, OH 45335.
Inurnment with military honors at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third Street, Dayton, OH, 45428.
