Geneva A. Bishop

Geneva A. Bishop, age 96 of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday November 14, 2017.  She was born July 9, 1921 in Blaze, KY, the daughter of the late Alvin and Lucy (Lewis) Morgan.  Geneva retired from Wright State University and she enjoyed playing checkers.  She was especially close to her granddaughter, Erica, and enjoyed spending time with her.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Winford; a son, Barry; three sisters; and three brothers.  She is survived by a daughter, Diana Bishop; three grandchildren, Erica (Rob) Wise, Ashley (David) Adams, Brett Bishop; special nephew, Jerry Nunley; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Friday November 17, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Ancil Carter officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
