Fredric “Fred” A. Meyer, age 81 of Yellow Springs, passed away Thursday May 10, 2018. He was born November 3, 1936 in Dayton, the son of the late Alfred and Dorothy (Schilling) Meyer. Fred was retired from a lifetime of auto body work and was a longtime member of Mary, Help of Christians Church in Fairborn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Veda Rae Meyer. He is survived by three daughters, Kimberly (Randy) McCaslin of West Chester, Tamara (Richard) Swinford of Yellow Springs, Dawn (Shawn) McClanahan of Cedarville; five grandchildren, Bryan (Sheena) Swinford, Christopher (Lindsey) McCaslin, Lindsay (Brandon) Roots, Dustin McClanahan, Courtney McClanahan; five great-grandchildren, Evan, Luke, and Natalie McCaslin, Symin Swinford, and Zoe Roots. A graveside service with military honors on Wednesday May 16, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle-Five Points Rd., Centerville, Deacon Max Roadruck officiating.
