Finetta "Ma" Blevins

Finetta “Ma” Blevins, age 86 of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday October 9, 2018.  She was born September 13, 1932 in Redbush, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Jeff and Zora (Hamilton) Smith.  Ma enjoyed quilting, gardening, and spending time with family. She was a member of Maple Heights Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ishmael “Speedy” Blevins, and a sister, Ethel Ratliff.  She is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda “Sissy” Groves, Debbie (Dan) Medeiros, two grandsons, Timothy Holbert, William Jr. (Michelle) Groves, 2 granddaughters, Tracy Holbert, Alyssa Medeiros, 7 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, siblings, William (Sue) Smith, Doris Pelphrey, Gay Skaggs (Junior), and Nora Sparks; beloved cat, Spider; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 13, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn with Pastor Chris Tannreuther officiatting. Family will receive friends from 9:30 until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
