Evelyn J. Camfield

Evelyn J. Camfield, age 69, of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021. She was born March 6, 1952 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania; the daughter of the late Willard C. and Leona M. (Stewart) Mace. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Lester Camfield, Sr. and brother-in-law, Ted Steinruck. Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband, Lester; children, Eric (Suanne) Camfield and Jenny (Jamie) Bergfield; grandchildren, Sadie, Clay, Kenzie, and Savannah; brother, Bill (Lori) Mace; sisters, Brenda Steinruck and Ellen (John) Craig; mother-in-law, Ella Camfield; brother-in-law, Dale (Lorri) Camfield; and numerous extended family members and friends. Evelyn proudly served in the United States Air Force. She was a member of the First Church of Christ for many years and she loved to spread the word of God to everyone, and was also an avid volunteer at the Fairborn Senior Center. Some of her hobbies include: crocheting, yard work, bowling, baking, cooking, and watching old television shows. What Evelyn loved most of all was her loving family, especially her grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held by the family. Arrangements under the care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to the Hospice of Dayton as they provided Evelyn with thoughtful care.
