Eloise "Lee" Yates

Eloise “Lee” (Whitt) Yates, age 76 of Fairborn, peacefully joined the Lord on Sunday November 4, 2018.  She was born on December 8, 1941 in Bath Township, Ohio, the daughter of the late Earl M. and Alma (Riddle) Whitt.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Duwayne Yates in 1964 and Wendell Keith Yates in 2009; and two brothers, Richard Whitt and Larry Whitt. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerry D. Yates; daughter, Leah L. Yates both of Fairborn, Ohio; sister-in-law, Sharon Whitt; nephew, Nicholas (Erin) Whitt; and great-niece, Teagan, all of Columbus, Ohio; as well as many other friends and loved ones.  “Lee” enjoyed a fulfilling life being a wonderful wife and mother.  She also enjoyed a 20 plus year career with Kmart until her retirement in 2008.  She will be dearly missed by many.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 12 noon at Byron Cemetery.  A life celebration will take place immediately following.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home.
