Edward L. Muir

Edward L. Muir, age 82 of Fairborn passed away Friday June 16, 2023.  He was born May 14, 1941 in Ligonier, PA, the son of the late Boyd and Violet (Sharpe) Muir.  Edward enlisted and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam.  He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 526. Edward enjoyed his many cars over the years.  Along with his wife of 55 years, Shirley, they started Muir's Water Conditioning in Fairborn in 1985.  They appreciated the support of their loyal customers and the Fairborn community.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley; granddaughter, Alicia Keenan; and great-granddaughter, Violet Keenan.  Ed is survived by his children, Angela Evans, Annettee (Randy) Keenan, Mark (Teri) Muir, Valerie (Thomas) Thompson, Jeannie (Mark) Pierce; grandchildren, Steven Muir, Charles Evans, Leroy (Jessyka) Evans, Samantha Evans, Jason (Nicole) Keenan, Nicole (Jonathan) Wiltshire, Christopher Muir, Chantel (Sam) Anderson, Richard (Karyn) Browning, Stephanie Pierce, Jodie Pierce; great-grandchildren, Owen Keenan, Cali Browning, Lexi Browning, Jenna Evans, Jack Wiltshire, Cora Wiltshire, sisters Lois Stickney and Connie Douglas; as well as extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Preserve at Beavercreek for their four years of love and care. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday June 24, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Byron Cemetery, 3256 Trebein Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.
