Dorthy Fay Murphy

Dorthy Fay Murphy, age 92 of Fairborn passed away Friday February 9, 2024.  She was born July 10, 1931 in Buchanan Co., Virginia, the daughter of the late Hunter and Josephine (Ball) Wilson.  Fay enjoyed fishing, sewing, and gardening.  She loved everything about being outside and traveling.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Wayne Murphy; three brothers and six sisters.  Fay is survived by five children, Burton Murphy, Eugene Murphy, Peggy Murphy Turner, Larry Murphy (Ranee Presley Murphy), Bryan Murphy; six grandchildren, Angel Murphy Edmonds (Michael), Ryan Murphy Osterman (David), Cody Murphy (Sandra), Kevin Turner, Brittany Turner Miller (Joseph), Myranda Stanley; five great-grandchildren; twin sister, Delphie Gay Johnson; as well as extended family and friends.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 13, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Doug Surber officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Fay will be laid to rest next to her husband at Byron Cemetery.
