David A. Horn, age 52 of Enon, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home on April 2, 2022. Dave was born August 21, 1969 in Kettering, Ohio, the son of James M. Horn and Susan L. (Barkalow) Brady.
Dave was a graduate of Greenon High School, Class of 1987, where he was active playing football. Dave was a veteran, honorably serving his country in the United States Air Force. He was later employed in sales with Grainger.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Christa; two children, Rachel (Trey) Mann and Ryan Horn; two stepchildren, Colin Czyzak and Alyssa (Christian) Pfledderer; his grandmother Rose Mary Barkalow; his mother and stepfather, Susan and Nace Brady of Brooksville, KY; a sister, Deborah Northern of Monroe, OH; as well as many loving cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his father, James M. Horn.
Dave enjoyed sports, especially competing in motocross and was a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. Dave loved playing his guitar and listening to music. He loved animals, the outdoors, gardening, hiking and fishing.
Dave was a loving and devoted father and husband. Dave had many interests, but more than anything, he cherished spending time with his wife and children. He adored his children, and his favorite moments were times spent relaxing with his family. Dave was known for his sense of humor and always made everyone laugh.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 7, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Deacon Max Roadruck officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service.
