Danny L. Smith

Danny Lee Smith, 77 years old died December 19, 2018.  Born in Freeburn (Pike County) KY, 6th child of Walter Boone Smith and Opal Stacy Smith.  He served his country in the U.S. Army, retiring after 28 years of service.  Dan is survived by three sons James Lee (LaToucha) Smith, Thomas Patrick Smith, David Walter Smith, a step-Daughter Barbara Gullett; three grandsons,  Steven, Tyler, and Troy Smith; granddaughter Tara Smith; two step grandsons, Derek and Wesley Gullett; seven great-grandsons; brother, Donald (Cheryl) Smith; two sisters, Gloria Annetta Smith Spears, Janet (Tillman) Caudill; three widowed sisters-in-law Dottie Smith, Marie Gail Smith, Teresa Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews, one maternal Uncle Bernard Stacy and one maternal aunt Esther Leoda Mounts.  Dan was preceded in death by his wife Judith Duvall Smith, both his parents, and six siblings (listed by age) Greta Jean Daugherty, Herman Garrett Smith, Vivian DeHart, Rev. Robert M. Smith, Eddy Dean Smith, and Opal Binky Smith.
