Collie Howard, age 93 of Fairborn passed away Wednesday March 31, 2021. He was born September 18, 1927 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the son of the late Irvin and Bertha (Caudill) Howard. Collie served his country in the U.S. Army; and was a longtime member of the Enterprise Baptist Church in Fairborn. He enjoyed dancing, singing and playing the harp. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Melvideen; son, Collie D. Howard; four brothers; and four sisters. Collie is survived by his wife, Janice Howard; three sisters, Maggie (Jim) Stockert, Lessie Conley, Tella Fay Preston; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as extended family. A funeral service will be held on Monday April 5, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Mark Long officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow with military honors at Byron Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice.
