Esther C. “Colleen” Miller, age 95 of Dayton passed away peacefully Monday September 30, 2024 at Vienna Springs Health Campus. She was born July 18, 1929 in Toledo, the daughter of the late Norman Sr. and Lela (Nungester) Sherman. Colleen enjoyed cross stitching, sewing and camping. She was a longtime owner of Baskin-Robbins in Fairborn. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Miller; son, Steven Miller; siblings, Norman Sherman, Jr., Miriam Donovan, Jeanette Allison, and Roger Sherman. Colleen is survived by her three children, Sue Miller, Jerry (Jill) Miller, Thomas (Collene) Miller; daughter-in-law, Lori Miller; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. A funeral service will be held on Thursday October 3, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
