Carrie F. Kurowski, age 78 of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday October 23, 2018. She was born November 2, 1939 in Moorefield, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John and Hazel (Fryman) Lyons. Carrie was employed as a title clerk for many area automobile dealerships, retiring from Subaru of Dayton in 2015. Her hobbies included antique shopping and going to the beach. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald in 2012; a sister, Margaretta Human; and a brother, Ted Lyons. She is survived by two daughters, Kim (Brian) Caudill of Fairborn, Jennifer Kurowski of Springfield; four grandchildren, Christopher (Stephanie) Caudill, Elizabeth Caudill, Angela Kurowski, Nicholas LaPrairie; two great-grandchildren, Jase and Emory Caudill; two sisters, Delores (James) Sroufe, Cindy Mills; a sister-in-law, Charlene Lyons; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 27, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Deacon Max Roadruck officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
