Carole V. Blandino, age 88 of Fairborn, passed away Monday December 12, 2022. She was born September 21, 1934 in San Antonio, TX, the daughter of the late Thomas and Anne (O’Leary) Brooks.
Carole grew up in a military family and as a child was at Pearl Harbor where her father was stationed when it was attacked. As an adult, she was employed with civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB in the personnel office until retirement. Carole was a member of Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church and was a proud breast cancer survivor. One of her biggest hobbies was bowling and she participated in many area leagues over the years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike in 2019; and a sister, Joan Torsney. She is survived by two children, Kim (Eric) Campbell, Michael (Barb) Blandino; two grandchildren, Madison and Mitchell Blandino; a sister, Linda (Mike) Cryer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 20, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church, 954 N. Maple Ave., Fairborn, Father Ambrose Dobrozci Celebrant. Burial will follow at the Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
