Carless Eldridge

Carless Eldridge, age 85 of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday July 3, 2018.  He was born January 14, 1933 in Banks, KY, the son of the late Boyd and Polly (Caudill) Eldridge.  Carless served his country in the US Army and retired from civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB where he was employed in heating and maintenance.  He was a 50-year member of Michael L. Finnell Lodge #711 F &AM.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy E. in 2001; six sisters; and two grandchildren.  Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Dorothy G.; two daughters, Gloria Mellon of Fairborn, Patricia (Roger, Sr.) Pike of Fairborn; three grandsons, Bryan Mellon, Roger Pike Jr., Lucas Pike; two granddaughters, Jennifer Oliver, Carri Davis; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, OmaJo Branson, Ersley Eldridge; four step-children, Stephen Jackson, Joseph Dolwick, Eugene Dolwick Jr., Nina Ipock; as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.  A Masonic service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday July 9, 2018 followed by a funeral service at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Burial with military honors will follow at Byron Cemetery.
