Candace C. "Candy" Mcbride

Candace C. “Candy” McBride, age 72, of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at Soin Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Eugene and Wilma (McCarty) Abney.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. Candy was an avid reader; and enjoyed crocheting, computer games, and especially, listening to Elvis Presley. Family was important to her and she was blessed to have loved many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Candy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald F. McBride; daughter, Debra Popple; partner, Clay Wagers; and several siblings. Candance is survived by her children, Carrie (Eric) Muterspaw, Malinda McBride; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, siblings, Teresa Abney, David Abney, Michael Anthony Abney, Timothy Turner; as well as extended family.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:30 until 12:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, 45324. A private burial will be held by the family.  Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
