Bruce A Hawkey

Bruce A. Hawkey, age 45 of Fairborn, passed away Thursday December 17, 2020 at the Kettering Medical Center.  He was born January 27, 1975 in Greenville, Ohio, and graduated from Tri-Village High School in New Madison, Ohio.  He furthered his education by earning his Bachelors degree from Indiana University and two Master’s degrees from Wright State University.  Bruce was employed as a Market Research Manager with Fiserv and a member of Abiding Christ Lutheran Church.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed bird watching, hiking, fishing, and target shooting.  Preceded in death by his mother, Diana J. Hawkey.  Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Kristina Hawkey; a son, Blaine Hawkey; daughter, Emma Faye Hawkey; father and mother-in-law, Scott and Lisa Nash; brother-in-law, Kyle Nash; an aunt and uncle Jenny and Bill Hawkey; two sisters Amy Buckingham and Lorri-Buckingham Marian; a brother David Buckingham; as well as many cousins; nieces; other extended family; and numerous friends.  A public memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beaver Creek Wetlands Association, PO Box 42, Alpha, OH 45301 -or- Glen Helen Nature Preserve, 405 Corry St., Yellow Springs, OH 45387.  Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
