Billie R. “Bill” Taylor, age 92 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday December 6, 2020 at the Trinity of Beavercreek. He was born May 25, 1927 in Campton, KY, the son of the late Willie and Daisy (Center) Taylor. Bill served his country in the US Army and followed with employment in civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB as a computer programmer, retiring after over 35 years of combined federal service. He was a longtime member of the Maple Avenue Church of God in Fairborn; and he loved to work on his farm near St. Paris and was an avid gardener. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Clinton; and three sisters, Oneida, Wanda, and Virginia. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Helen; a son, Steve Taylor of Xenia; a daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Nevitt of Dayton; five grandchildren, Heather, Joshua, Ashley, Megan, Justin; sister-in-law, Elaine Taylor; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Due to the current conditions Bill’s family will hold his service and burial privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association -or- the Maple Avenue Church of God. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
