William F. “Bill” Morter, passed away Monday March 2, 2020. He was born December 19, 1951, the son of the late William F., Sr. and Dolores (Peitz) Morter. Bill served as a member of St. Luke Catholic faculty; and was a longtime member of St. Luke Catholic Church. He enjoyed trains, yard work, gardening, playing golf with his son, Andrew and spending time with his grandson, Knox. William is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ruth; two children Emily (Bryan) Haney, Andrew Morter; grandson, Knox; granddaughter on the way, Isla, both whom he will dearly miss; brother, Joe (Billie) Morter; sister, Sue Hasz; father-in-law, Richard Prestel; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. A visitation will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2020 at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M., where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 11, 2020 at 10:30 A.M., Father Terrance Schneider Celebrant. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton -or- St. Luke Catholic School.
