Betty J. Humbert

Betty J. Humbert, age 88 of Fairborn passed away September 22, 2021 surrounded by her family.  She was born June 6, 1933 in Jonesville, Virginia, the daughter of the late Vernon and Addie Pauline (Musick) Ely.  Betty enjoyed quilting, gardening, wood working, and crafts.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine C. Humbert; two brothers, Robert Ely, Don Ely; and sister, Gladys Parks.  Betty is survived by her two sons, Dwight (Glenna) Humbert, Mark (Lisa) Humbert; five grandchildren, Katherine, John, Aden, Pauline, Timothy; great-granddaughter, Noelle; brother, Eugene Ely; two sisters, Anne Slemp, Joyce Mullins; as well as many extended family.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday September 28, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 29, 2021 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Braydon Teach officiating. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Betty.
