Barry was known for his dependability, quick whit, down to earth nature and booming laughter that resonated with everyone around him. He served honorably in the United States Navy for seven years, reaching the rank of E-5 as an Electronics Mechanic, with his service highlighting the Vietnam War in the early 1970s. After dedicating his time to the military, Barry ended his career as a Supervising Engineer Technician at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). His professional journey was marked not only by his expertise but also by the genuine connections he formed with colleagues, demonstrating a commitment to crafting a supportive and friendly work environment. In his personal life, Barry found deep joy in the company of friends and family. He often gathered with his close-knit group affectionately known as the "patio-gang," sharing laughter and creating lasting memories. An avid motorcycle and car enthusiast, he took great pleasure in riding, especially in his cherished red BMW-Z convertible. He also delighted in attending the BMW-Z fest and had an unwavering loyalty to The Ohio State University football team. Trivia nights with his friends were another source of happiness for Barry, where his knowledge and humor would lighten the atmosphere.
