Barry Richard Kander

Barry Richard Kander, 80, of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was born on October 10, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Melvin and Adele (Derringer) Kander. He retired from the U.S. Marine Crops after 20 years of service, then worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 18 years, as well several years for Teleperformance USA in Fairborn.

Barry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Teresa Danner Kander, his children Mickey (Paj Nandi) Kander of Seattle, Washinton, and Lani (Duke) Preston of Niles, Michigan; step-children Brian (Jennifer) Rankin of Dayton, Amy (Gregory) Handwerker of Blue Ash, Ohio, Samantha (Mike) Larason of Fairborn; grandchildren Antrone Gray, Jr., Tre Gray, Jalen Gray, Alexis Preston, Jayla Preston, Michael Swan, Annamea Swan and Lucian Rankin; great-grandchildren Kairee Gray, TaRon Bradshaw, and Raign Gray.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 P.M., Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Medway Church, 2550 S. Dayon-Lakeview Rd., New Carlisle, OH 45344.
