Barbara S. "Suzi" Tackett

Barbara S. “Suzi” Tackett, age 74 of Fairborn passed away September 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born March 31, 1950 in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Talbert and Ida Mae (Bush) Smith.  Suzi enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family.  She had a green thumb and took great pride in her gardening.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Baker, brothers and sisters.  Suzi is survived by her loving husband, Gary Tackett; son, Jamie (Amanda) Farmer; grandchildren, Destiny Markunes, Tonya Farmer; step-children, Janel Joy (Roger) Norman, Jacob C. Tackett, Brandon M.Tackett  (Marissa Ball), Alexa M. (Kyle) Koester; step-grandchildren, Layla Tackett, Joshua Coder, Dylan Tackett; siblings, Vernon Combs, Bobby (Colette) Smith, Glenna Ratliff, Jean Caples; sister-in-law, Judi (John) Swallows.  A funeral will be held on Wednesday September 11, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Mark Pyles officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the service.  Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
