Ardena Kegley, age 72 of Fairborn, passed away on Friday July 1, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 17, 1949 in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Earl and Beneada (Short) Childers.
Alongside her husband, she was the founder of Glen Kegley and Son Homes; Kegley’s Carpet Town and Wright-Patt Auto Sales, both in Fairborn. Ardena enjoyed watching western movies, singing, going to church, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glen; three brothers, Arlie, Cooney and Kenny Childers. Survivors include two children, Kimberly (Matthew) Klohe of Piqua; David (Faith) Kegley of Fairborn; five grandchildren, Jacob Hill, Skylar Hill, Adrianna Kegley, Mariah Kegley, Kaylee Kegley; two great grandsons, Gabriel, Matthew; sister, Elena Lemke; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 7, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Rev. Dwayne Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
