Archie D. Williams, age 93 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday September 13, 2023 at his residence. He was born September 12, 1930 in Lacy Creek, Morgan Co., KY, the son of the late Manford and Flossie (Dawson) Williams.
Archie was employed as a forklift operator with General Motors, retiring in 1983 after 31 years of service; and he was a longtime member of Enterprise Baptist Church in Fairborn. A consummate gentleman who valued faith, family, and friends, Archie’s legacy will include the ability to share a thoughtful word, extend a warm embrace, and a kind smile to all.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean Williams in 1982; his second wife, Lena Williams in 2022; four sisters, Georgia, Helen, Betty, and Leatha; and three brothers, Raymond, Russell, and his twin, Arkie Williams. Survivors include his two daughters, Rhonda (Michael) Baab of Xenia, Melissa (Michael) Sprouse of Fairborn; four granddaughters, Lindsey (Dana) Akers, Whitney Dearth (fiancé, Matt Cook), Caitlin (Nathan) Martin, Olivia Sprouse; four great-grandchildren, Grace Akers, Riley Akers, Evan Dearth, and Brody Dearth.
A funeral service will be held on Monday September 18, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, his two sons-in-law, Pastors Mike Sprouse and Mike Baab officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
