Alvie Stephens

Alvie Stephens, age 90 of Fairborn, passed away Friday April 5, 2024 at the Dayspring of Miami Valley.  He was born April 23, 1933 in Halcom, Kentucky, the son of the late Earl and Sylvia (Liming) Stephens.

Alvie was employed with Delco Products as a job setter, retiring after 32 years of service.  He was a member of First Dayton Freewill Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Brooksie in 2016; two brothers, Ellis and Clayton Stephens; and a brother-in-law, Jack Lamm.  Survivors include his daughter, Linda Joan Stephens; two sisters, Annette Lamm and Chloma (Dale) Jarrett; a niece, Joyce Sutton; as well as other nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 10, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Gerald Prichard officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
