Alonzo Jones

Alonzo Jones, age 88 of Fairborn, passed away Monday July 23, 2018.  He was Born October 15, 1929 in Hazard, KY, the son of the late John and Bertha Jones.  Alonzo was retired from Kendall Construction.  In addition to his parents, Alonzo was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; three daughters, Marian Sue Jones-Pebley, Charlotte Joanna Jones-Williams, Pamela Jean Jones-Steplowski; granddaughter, Melissa Williams-Brantley; four brothers; three sisters; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Jones.  He is survived by a son, Owen Daniel Jones; two daughters, Diane (Tim) Peters of Beavercreek, Sabrina (Jeff) Jones of Fairborn; 9 grandchildren, Tracey Hall, John Jones, Mandy Shipley, Maggie Radford, Kelly Jones, Casey (Jeremiah) Setser, Jessica Lawson, Tomilyn Radford, Michael (Jennifer) Williams; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Bessie (Ogle) Bargo of Tazewell, TN; a brother, James (Becky) Jones of New Carlisle; sister-in-law, Pearl Jones; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Friday July 27, 2018 at 12 Noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery.
